The Hadoop Data Warehouse: The Role of Open Source Software in Big Data and Analytics

Friday, May 6, 2016 - 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm

Open source software is having a profound impact on the way that data practitioners collect, manage, and analyze data. Technologies like Hadoop are driving down costs, eliminating vendor lock-in, and democratizing access to Big Data. For users of these technologies, there has never been a better time to start a data-driven business. For vendors, there has never been such a disruptive period in the industry's roughly 40-year history.

Join Teradata VP & GM Justin Borgman and Netflix's Data Platform Director, Kurt Brown us for a discussion about what this transformation means for users and vendors alike.
