Data has become the lifeblood of most organizations. However, not all data is created with downstream usage implications in mind. Regardless of the analytics techniques used, analysis is ultimately only as useful as the data fed into it. In other words, “garbage in, garbage out.” In this talk we will share people, process and technology lessons learned from being a data practitioner.

Archana Ganapathi leads data strategy and analytics at Splunk.  Since joining Splunk in 2010, she has worn various hats at Splunk including implementing analytics features in the product, launching a customer-facing business analytics practice, designing corporate level BI architecture, and most recently, defining and implementing strategic data initiatives. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
