Prahalad Thota joined Wells Fargo in June 2015 as head of Enterprise Analytics & Data Science. He reports to the head of Data Management & Insights (DMI). The DMI organization is transforming how Wells Fargo manages and leverages data to empower and inform team members, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and meet elevated regulatory expectations.
Prahalad and team are focused on building and deploying advanced data science capabilities; delivering enterprise-wide strategic analyses; providing analytical consulting services across the enterprise; testing new methodologies and analytical platforms to help Wells Fargo prepare for the future; leading the Analytic Leadership Council; and driving enterprise approaches to recruit, develop and retain the analyst community.
Prior to Wells Fargo, Prahalad was head of Analytics at Charles Schwab & Co. and held various analytics, marketing and product management leadership roles at PayPal, Inc., and Capital One Financial Services. Prahalad started his career as a management consultant at Arthur Andersen.
Prahalad holds a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology; a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech; a master’s degree in business management from the Indian Institute of Management; and a master’s degree in Finance from Virginia Tech.
Prahalad is based in San Francisco.
